California Consumer Privacy Notice

This California Consumer Privacy Notice (“CA Notice”) applies to California residents and supplements our Privacy Policy. It is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, “CCPA”).

1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the past 12 months, RENVA has collected the following categories of personal information from or about California consumers:

  • Identifiers: Real name, email address, mailing address, IP address, account username, and unique device identifiers.
  • Personal records: Date of birth, billing address, and payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Health and medical information: Intake questionnaire responses, hair loss history, prior treatments, medical conditions disclosed during intake, and prescription history. This category is treated as sensitive personal information.
  • Internet or other network activity: Browsing history on our site, clickstream data, pages visited, time on site, and interactions with our platform.
  • Geolocation data: State-level location derived from IP address, used to verify eligibility for telehealth services in your state.
  • Commercial information: Subscription plan, transaction history, and purchase records.
  • Inferences: Profile information drawn from the above categories to provide personalized care recommendations.

2. Purposes for Collection

We collect the categories of personal information listed above for the following business purposes:

  • To operate and deliver the RENVA telehealth platform and associated clinical services.
  • To facilitate clinician review, prescription issuance, and pharmacy fulfillment.
  • To process subscription payments and manage billing.
  • To communicate with you about your care, account, and services.
  • To improve our platform, services, and user experience.
  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and security incidents.

3. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

RENVA does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration, nor do we share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

We share personal information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform (clinical partners, pharmacy partners, payment processors, analytics providers) under written contracts that restrict their use of your information. These disclosures are not considered “sales” under the CCPA.

4. Your Rights Under the CCPA

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., information we are required to retain by law, or information necessary to complete a transaction or provide a service you requested).

Right to Correct

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

Because RENVA does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no opt-out mechanism required. If our practices change, we will update this Notice and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our homepage.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

We use sensitive personal information (including health data) only to the extent necessary to provide our telehealth services and as otherwise permitted by the CCPA. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond service delivery without your consent.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

5. How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of the rights described above, submit a verifiable consumer request to:

  • Email: darrin@renva.health with subject line “CCPA Privacy Request.”

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt. If we require additional time (up to 90 days total), we will notify you in writing of the reason and extension period.

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Verification may require you to provide information we already have on file for your account. We will not use information provided for verification for any other purpose.

6. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf. Authorized agents must provide written permission signed by you. We may contact you directly to verify the agent’s authority before processing the request.

7. Financial Incentives

RENVA does not offer financial incentives in exchange for the collection or retention of your personal information.
